I thought there are 3 (simple) steps?
January 20th, 2007 at 2:18 am
Ok. That’s a big technical hurdle there. I have a self-coded blog system and I don’t currently support Technorati’s tags. Not all of us are on MovableType, Wordpress, Blogger, LiveJournal, or TypePad blogs. And I’m not willing to do the necessary programming in order to add tag support for my blog.
Moreover, not all blogs are registered with Technorati, much less ping Technorati on a regular basis. The “simple” steps are too high a barrier.
Isn’t there any alternative registration step #3 available?
For example, instead of tagging the post “blogparteeh07″, why not alternatively link to this website, if you have some Technorati-pinging (even manual pinging) enabled at the very least? Trackbacking or pingbacking any blog entry here is also feasible. As a last resort, if ones blog is very, very simple, why not have an e-mail address one can send to or a mail form one can fill out to inform the organizers of one’s blog entry?

[…] It would seem like not all stores or galleries are leaving Cubao Expo. I went to visit the place a few days ago to check if indeed the news on the webvine was correct. Those leaving, like Chunky Far Flung Gallery, did not renew their contract with the present landlord of Cubao Shoe Expo. There were establishments that did renew their lease. The Italian restaurant Bellini’s will still be there. Vintage Pop, Black Soup Project, and Alternative Art Gallery will still be staying. The book store Datelines will remain as well and it is probably one of the few bookstores in the Philippines , with the exception of F.Sionil Jose’ Solidaridad, that students and bibliophiles conduct planned visits or field trips. So a number of Establishments have opted to stay. I wonder … Under what collective name it will be now known? Cubao X ? Cubao Shoe Expo? or will it be a completely new name? Rent seems to be one of big factors in the migration Most of the shops leaving belong to the part of Cubao Show Expo stalls that had second floors The vendors were also slowly becoming extinct in the part of the Cubao pond. According to some of the shop keepers the whole place was being renovated. And new galleries and businesses were coming in. Even a gallery from Soho. […] This post, the organizers say, is the first step - I’m blogging about the event. This is supposed to be “the largest blogger meet-up ever organized by bloggers for bloggers,” and naturally, there has to be a lot of hype around it. People have to talk about it, shout about it, discuss it, and basically tell everybody else about it. Since it’s a bloggers’ party after all, it makes sense that we all blog about it. That’s what I’m doing right here by telling you how to get invites, and sharing the event details. […]

[…] The Blog Parteeh! 2007 will be held on January 27, 2007, at the address stated above. All Philippine-based and active bloggers are encouraged to join. The catch? The event is by invitation only, which means that you have to be invited to actually mingle with the other bloggers. No need to worry though. Acquiring an invitation is a piece of cake. All you have to do is blog about the event, link the sponsors and donors, add a Technorati tag at the end of your entry to blogparteeh07, put your email address for all the spambots to see, and wait for your invitation which comes in the form of an e-Ticket! Easy enough? Join! But check out the requirements first and make sure you understand them, okay? =) […]
January 22nd, 2007 at 5:39 pm
Ooookay. Why can’t my blog ping Technorati? Hmm. I tagged it already but it doesn’t appear on the list of blogs with “blogparteeh07″ tags. Hmm.
January 22nd, 2007 at 6:07 pm
Hi Tina, I checked and saw that your parteeh post is dated 1/22 while Technorati dated it 1/20. Login and do a manual ping so Technorati could reindex and read the proper version.

jester-in-exile,

I’ve inserted the Technorati tag and my page is still not appearing on the pages.
I’m actually doing it quite redundantly - I inserted the tag and made a category.
Will the trackback suffice?
update: I did a manual ping by logging into technorati and my page is still not there.
I added my email ad on the post though. hehe
January 23rd, 2007 at 3:21 am
well basically, the main point of my question is - can i still get an invite if I cant get my page to show on the technorati pages? hehe. Sensya, now I’m getting real anxious.
If someone wants to help me, kindly drop by my site and check what I’m doing wrong. Thanks.

I dont even know what I did.

Hi everybody,
I don’t know if for you is the same but I love the world where we live in, especially for the new technology and at the present time it seems to me impossible to stay without.
The stuff that I like most are those things that I can keep in my pourse. As you have probably already figured out my mobile phone play a center role in my daily life.
I can’t resist to motorola ringtone. I switch them continuosly so I wanna always to get more. The good part is I’m a student so my parents pay for them and further to buy a subscription is not difficult.
Gotta go now.
Cheers
