From your friendly neighborhood Welcoming Committee head, we give you the three reasons why attendees shouldn’t be late for the Blog Parteeh!

  1. It’s rude. And very selfish.
    Whoever started making people believe in being “fashionably late” should go to hell. Not to be rude myself, but please. The Welcoming Committee members who will man the venue registration booth and let people in have unselfishly given up some fun time with other bloggers. It would be really inconsiderate if you further deprive them of fun time just because you want to make a grand entrance. We understand that there are a lot of unforeseen events that could happen on your journey to the party (getting lost, car got a flat tire, bad traffic, etc.)—that’s why there will always be a committee member manning the booth. BUT, it would really mean a lot to us if you give it your best shot to be there on time.
  2. You won’t even come close to qualifying for the Early Bird Award.
    Duh. I think this is pretty obvious. How can you be called an “early bird” if you’re not even early?!
  3. There won’t be any guarantees you’d get a schwag.
    Sorry, but as much as we’d like to give this guarantee, we can’t. There’s a limited number of goodie bags to be given out, and we’ll be giving them on a first come, first served basis. If you’re really late and the schwags have run out—well, maybe another blogger will be kind enough to let you peek into his/her goodie bag! :P
